There much talk about being in the flow, that state where everything just seems to work.
What is the flow?
Mihaly Czikszentmihalyi asks, "What makes a life worth living?" Noting that money cannot make us happy, he looks to those who find pleasure and lasting satisfaction in activities that bring about a state of "flow."
Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi has contributed pioneering work to our understanding of happiness, creativity, human fulfillment and the notion of "flow" -- a state of heightened focus and immersion in activities such as art, play and work.
Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi says creativity is a central source of meaning in our lives. A leading researcher in positive psychology, he has devoted his life to studying what makes people truly happy: "When we are involved in [creativity], we feel that we are living more fully than during the rest of life." He is the architect of the notion of "flow" -- the creative moment when a person is completely involved in an activity for its own sake.
Csikszentmihalyi teaches psychology and management at Claremont Graduate University, focusing on human strengths such as optimism, motivation and responsibility. He's the director the the Quality of Life Research Center there. He has written numerous books and papers about the search for joy and fulfillment.
"A man obsessed by happiness."

There is a vast difference between talking and connecting. Rather we need to develop raport, a connection, with people.
Nido Qubein has been named one of the top 10 communicators in the world. He reminds us that although we spend 78% of our time communicating, we are only 30% effective. Being a good communicator gives you a 'C' in the test ofsuccess, a mere pass, to get an 'A' you must learn to connect.
This requires knowing a persons passions, fears, needs, wishes and aspirations. Facts tell - but emotions sell. People must know you are interested in them if you are to be seen as interesting to them. Here is a list of questions he uses to get people talking:
"What do you think about...?"
"How do you feel about...?"
"What would you suggest...?"
"What would be your reaction to...?"
"What would happen if...?"
"What do you think is a better way to...?"
"What's your biggest concern about...?"
"How important is that to you...?"
"Why is it being done that way?"
"Could you give me an example of...?"
"What do you like most about...?"
"What do you like least about...?"
"Where do you find signs most effective for you?"
Check out a brilliant video from A Course In Mastery, where Nido Qubein explains the first steps in establishing rapport.
A few hints;
Making a Friend Request
1) Don't randomly send friend requests.
i.e. do not just go from profile to profile clicking add friend 100 times in a row.
2) Make friend requests to people that are active on the site.
Find members that are making comments on blogs and are actively posting. Otherwise you may find you have a huge number of unanswered requests.
3) Visit the member's website before making a friend request.
Find out something about a person. Do you have common interests? Send a targeted comment in the friend request.
Receiving a Friend Request
1) Never accept any friend request blindly.
Send a message asking them a general question. If they answer, then accept their request. If not, ignore them.
2) Be wary of accepting requests from people who do not have a picture.
People that do not post a picture are more likely to send you spam, and are probably less serious.
Managing Existing Friends
1) Immediately remove any friend that sends you spam.
2) Immediately remove any friend that sends you more that one invite to another site in a week.
If you notice that you are getting 15 invitations to all kinds of social networks, then you have a friend or two that you need to eliminate.
3) Spend a few minutes a day removing friends that are sending you spam and excessive invites.
If you do not, then things will quickly get out of control. 5-10 bad friends can turn your email inbox into a nightmare.
Eben Pagan, Founder of The Altitude Training Program, www.getaltitude.com, reveals three mindsets for making money and talks about specific marketing methods he has used to grow his own company.
1. Learn how to Create Value for people
2. Learn how To get the short end of the stick
Even in third world countries people would rather prevent you from getting $80 if they only get $20.
Learn to give away free material and people will come back for more!
3. Don't keep your best ideas secret
Give away your best ideas - this creates viral marketing and people will come back for more.
4. Move the free line
Begin with free information, entry level products and high end products. After a while issue some of your middle products freely while creating new specialised high valuenew products for your regular customers.
5. choose A Memorable Name
The most well known brand name is Coca-Cola. Why?
within our brains there is a process called the phonological loop. This is the part of the brain that repeats the last few words we hear over in our head. its why a kid who is not listening to you can repeat your last few words.
Prases that use alliteration(the first part of the word is repeated) and rhyming (the last part of a word is repeated) are remembered more readily in the phonological loop.
Coca-Cola ues's alliteration and rhyming! Consider the repetition in names lie Marilyn Monroe, M & M's, and of course Eben Pagan has a pen name - David DeAngelo.
how can we cope when the collective consciousness around us is gloom and doom?
We are ion a cycle that repeats around every 80 years yet just as many of the richest people made their wealth in the depression we alsop have opportunity.
Here Anthont Robbins helps us take control of our future.
Please note
1. He emphasis frames of reference, how he uses his and her personal situations to build a commonality and then transitions it to personal growth.
2. Leverage- leverage the “crisis” as a point of introspection and analyze where you are and where you want to go and use it as your launching pad towards a better you.
Well, will they listen?
NLP teacher Steve Boyley has a few tips that may make it easier for people to listen to you.
Here they are:
1. Establish Contact Focus on only ONE of three things; an object, person/animal or idea. When the focus changes, continue to focus on only ONE thing at a time.
2. Be Active, use "Yes and... ". Stop thinking and trying to make sense, just give to the moment. Be in the now!
3. Avoid Negation and Questions. Use "Yes and.." Rather than "Yes but..." and if you have to find out information, use the amazing 'Reciprocating Open Question'. Tell them your answer first, as if they asked you the question, then ask them the question.
Wjhen people feel they are heard then they are far more likely to listen to you!
When I first tried to add metatags to blogger it seemed as though Blogger didn’t like me. Every time I tied to edit the XML code it protested and at first I gave up.
Well here's how to do it and get yourself on Google.
1. First you need these 3 sets of tags:
2. Fill in the details
Pretty obviously you replace CAPITALIZED LETTERS with a description, Keywords, and touy name, like so:
DESCRIPTION HERE: Write your blog description
KEYWORDS:Write the blogs keywords
AUTHOR NAME: Write the author's name(Your name)
Something like....
Hmmm perhaps my description needs to incorportate more of my keywords, the more keywords in the description , the better.
Anyway,
3.Add the above code just after:
IMPORTANT: Do not just fill the description with keywords or you' get banned by Google!
And don't repeat the keyword more than 3 times.
If you get banned all your good SEO will be wasted.
Well that’s it, save it to blogger and use your description and keywords in search engine submission or blog directories.
Have fun!
